Lexington Catholic coach Chelsea Chowning started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Alex Botkin, 5-10 Sr. Emily Johns, 6-0 Sr. Elizabeth Walton, 5-8 Sr. Bonnie Rhule, and 5-9 Jr. Octavia Wilson.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-9 So. DaiJia Ruffin, 5-6 So. Raven Merriweather, 6-1 Sr. Jazmin Smith, 5-6 Jr. Kristin Matula, and 5-6 Sr. Jade Tubb.

Sacred Heart rallied from a 41-32 deficit in the final quarter to defeat Lexington Catholic by a score of 56-50.  Sacred Heart shot 39.2% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 12 of 22 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 19 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 30.4% from the field including seven of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 Sacred Heart turnovers.  Lexington Catholic held a 20-5 advantage in second effort points.

DaiJia Ruffin led Sacred Heart with 16 points and seven rebounds.  Raven Merriweather added 13 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and five steals.  Jade Tubb chipped in with 11 points including two three point baskets.

Alex Botkin led Lexington Catholic with 12 points, 17 rebounds, and three steals.  Octavia Wilson and 5-9 Fr. Rachel Blake each recorded 10 points.
