Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III started the following lineup: 6-7 Jr. Nick Trisko, 6-7 Jr. Ethan Burlingham, 6-8 So. Jackson Davis, 5-10 So. Lance Blakley, and 6-3 Jr. Tranard Chester. Bryan Station coach Mike Allen countered with 6-3 Jr. Larry Morton, 6-2 Sr. Marcus Williams, 6-2 Jr. Kenyon Hipps, 6-0 Fr. Carl Walker, and 5-11 Jr. Tyler Smith.
The score was tied 29-29 at halftime but Bryan Station pulled away in the second half to defeat Lafayette by a score of 70-61. Bryan Station shot 46.2% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line. The Defenders connected on 19 of 29 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 25 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette shot 42.3% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc. The Generals connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 20 Bryan Station turnovers.
Larry Morton led Bryan Station with 22 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Morton was 12 of 13 from the free throw line. 6-0 Sr. Jalen Beckham who recently was ruled eligible added 13 points, four assists, and six steals. Marcus Williams and Kenyon Hipps each recorded nine points.
Jackson Davis led Lafayette with 17 points, seven rebounds, and four steals. Lance Blakley added 16 points including four three point baskets.
