Butler coach Larry Just started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Alexis Stallard, 5-10 So. Danielle Lawrence, 5-11 Fr. Miah Casey, 5-10 Jr. Aareon Smith, and 5-7 Sr. MacKenzie Martinez.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-9 So. DaiJia Ruffin, 5-6 So. Raven Merriweather, 6-1 Sr. Jazmin Smith, 5-6 Jr. Kristin Matula, and 5-6 Sr. Jade Tubb.

Butler defeated Sacred Heart Academy by a score of 51-43.  Sacred Heart  led 21-19 at halftime but Butler rallied in the third quarter to lead 35-28 after three quarters.  Butler shot 37.8% from the field including one of six from the three point line.  The Bearettes connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 20 Sacred Heart turnovers.  Sacred Heart shot 34.1% from the field including one of nine from beyond the arc.  The Valkyries connected on 12 of 21 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 23 Butler turnovers.

MacKenzie Martinez led Butler with 14 points including 10 of 14 free throws.  Danielle Lawrence added 11 points and eight rebounds.  Aareon Smith also recorded 11 points.

DaiJia Ruffin led Sacred Heart with 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Raven Merriweather added 11 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.  Jazmin Smith recorded seven points, six rebounds, and seven blocked shots.
