Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Emily Justice, 5-7 Sr. Aleisha Stiltner, 6-0 So. Sarah Cooley, 5-5 Sr. Sarah Martin, and 5-6 So. Ken’yale Demus.  Bryan Station coach Donna Murphy countered with 5-10 So. Victoria McCoy, Bareisha Gill, 6-1 Jr. Hallie Crumbie, 5-5 Sr. Detierra Carpenter, and 5-8 Jr. Serena Sandusky.

Lafayette shot a dismal 11.5% (3-26) from the field in the second half and fell to Bryan Station by a score of 45-28.  Bryan Station shot 32.8% from the field including zero of two from the three point line.  The Lady Defenders connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 28 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 23.3% from the field including one of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Generals connected on seven of 15 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored seven points off 21 Bryan Station turnovers.

Victoria McCoy led Bryan Station with 14 points and four steals.  Serena Sandusky added 10 points and seven rebounds.  Hallie Crumbie recorded seven points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots.

Ken’yale Demus led Lafayette with 11 points.  Sarah Cooley added nine points and 10 rebounds.

Bryan Station  11  14  12   8 – 45

 

Lafayette (28) – Justice 0, Stiltner 0, Cooley 9, Martin 2, Demus 11, Thomas 6.

 

Bryan Station (45) – McCoy 14, Gill 4, Crumbie 7, Carpenter 2, Sandusky 10, Stennis 2, Williams 4, Frazier 2.
