Paul L. Dunbar coach Justin Yeary started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. William Gary, 6-0 So. Jordan Hurst, 6-6 Jr. Taylor King, 5-10 So. Donnie Lewis, and 5-10 Jr. Mike Smith. Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-6 Sr. Patrick Keller, 6-5 Sr. Craig Floyd, 6-9 Jr. Jack Whitman, 5-10 Jr. Dillon Avare, and 5-11 Sr. Bryan Woomer.
Lexington Catholic defeated Paul L. Dunbar by a score of 67-54. Lexington Catholic shot 54.9% from the field including five of 16 from the three point line. The Knights connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 14 Dunbar turnovers. Dunbar shot 40% from the field including two of 11 from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs connected on eight of 15 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 19 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Craig Floyd led Lexington Catholic with 25 points including three three point baskets. Floyd was 11 of 16 from the field including three of seven from the three point line, and did not go to the free throw line. Jack Whitman added 22 points and 13 rebounds. Bryan Woomer recorded seven points, 12 assists, and four steals.
William Gary led Dunbar with 22 points, five rebounds, and six assists. Mike Smith added 21 points, six rebounds, and three assists.
