South Oldham coach Steven Simpson started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Shae Goodlett, 6-0 Jr. Matthew Haysley, 6-5 Jr. Jack Sherry, 6-0 Jr. Mitch Catinna, and 5-10 Jr. Devonte Jones. West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley countered with 6-2 So. Daulton Peters, 6-2 Jr. Robby Irgang, 6-3 Jr. Chase Fain, 6-1 Sr. Heath Jackson, and 6-1 Sr. Jeff Ziemann.
West Jessamine trailed 49-39 in the third quarter but rallied to defeat South Oldham by a score of 76-68. West Jessamine shot 60% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line. The Colts connected on 23 of 25 free throws (92%), pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored four points off four South Oldham turnovers. West Jessamine attempted 33 less shots (73-40) from the field than South Oldham but held a 23-3 advantage in free throw points. South Oldham shot 38.4% from the field including nine of 35 from beyond the arc. The Dragons connected on three of five free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 19 West Jessamine turnovers.
Daulton Peters led West Jessamine with 29 points including 13 of 14 free throws and pulled down 11 rebounds. Chase Fain added 15 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists. Robby Irgang chipped in with 12 points. Jeff Ziemann recorded 10 points including two three point baskets.
Shae Goodlett led South Oldham with 18 points. 6-0 So. Kyle Young added 16 points and five steals.
