Paul L. Dunbar coach Sarah Van Horn started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Morgan McEldowney, 5-10 Jr. LaKeena Parks, 6-2 So. Brooke Todd, 5-4 Jr. Jordin Fender, and 5-4 Jr. Kierra Muhammad.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 6-0 So. Sarah Cooley, 5-11 Fr. Dee Givens, 6-3 Fr. Ashanti Thomas, 5-5 Sr. Sarah Martin, and 5-6 So. Ken’yale Demus.

Dunbar shot a blistering 61.3% from the field in the first half to take a 46-16 halftime lead on their way to a 75-37 victory over Lafayette.  Dunbar shot 55.8% from the field including 10 of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady bulldogs connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 28 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 31.8% from the field including two of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Generals connected on seven of 16 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored eight points off 16 Dunbar turnovers.

Morgan McEldowney led Dunbar with 22 points including five three point baskets.  5-3 So. Shakeema Jackson added 10 points including two three point baskets.  Brooke Todd chipped in with nine points.

Ashanti Thomas led Lafayette with nine points, five rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Ken’yale Demus added six points and five rebounds.  Sarah Cooley pulled down 12 rebounds.
