Sayre  vs.  Nicholas County

Sayre coach Ted Hall started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Phillip O’Rourke, 6-1 Sr. Reid Freeman, 6-6 Jr. Ray Brewer, 6-0 Jr. Duncan Courtney, and 6-0 So. Justin Sanders.  Nicholas County coach Kevin Reinhardt countered with 6-2 So. Dalton Pope, 6-2 Jr. Ethan Smith, 6-4 Jr. Zack Howard, 5-7 Fr. Landon Sexton, and 5-11 Jr. Austin Allison.

Sayre defeated Nicholas County by a score of 65-50.  Sayre shot 54.1% from the field including four of nine from the three point line.  The Spartans connected on 21 of 30 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 20 Nicholas County turnovers.  Nicholas County shot 35.7% from the field including four of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Bluejackets connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 21 Sayre turnovers.

Ray Brewer led Sayre with 25 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Brewer was nine of 13 from the field and seven of eight from the free throw line.  Reid Freeman added 17 points, five rebounds, and six assists.

Dalton Pope led Nicholas County with 13 points including three three point baskets.  Landon Sexton added 11 points and Zack Howard chipped in with 10 points.
