Boyle County coach Steve Adams started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Kyle Rice, 6-2 Sr. Zach Hester, 6-4 Sr. Michael Arnett, 5-8 Sr. Micah Satterly, and 6-0 Jr. Brett Jones. West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley countered with 6-2 Jr. Robby Irgang, 6-2 So. Daulton Peters, 6-5 Sr. DeShawn Eubanks, 5-9 So. Lane Brooks, and 6-1 Sr. Jeff Ziemann.
West Jessamine defeated Boyle County 73-69 in overtime in a hotly contested game tonight. West Jessamine led 34-17 in the second quarter but Boyle County outscored West Jessamine 23-14 in the final quarter to force an overtime. West Jessamine shot 54.3% from the field including four of seven from the three point line. The Colts connected on 19 of 28 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 11 Boyle County turnovers. Boyle County shot 37.3% from the field including 10 of 27 from beyond the arc. The Rebels connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 West Jessamine turnovers.
6-1 Sr. Heath Jackson led West Jessamine with 22 points and nine rebounds. Daulton Peters added 21 points and eight rebounds.
6-1 Fr. Hagen Tyler led Boyle County with 22 points including six three point baskets. Micah Satterly added 17 points and seven assists. Kyle Rice recorded 16 points and eight rebounds. Michael Arnett chipped in with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
