Waggener coach Maurice Ponder started the following lineup: 5-6 So. Jada Jackson, 5-6 Fr. Stephanie Wooldridge, 6-1 Sr. Jazmine Richardson-Huston, 5-2 So. Allyah Jackson, and 5-5 Jr. Destiny Lamb. Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-9 Sr. Sandy Gahafer, 5-6 So. Raven Merriweather, 6-1 Sr. Jazmin Smith, 5-6 Jr. Kristin Matula, and 5-6 Sr. Jade Tubb.
Sacred Heart Academy defeated Waggener by a score of 82-50. Thirteen players scored for Sacred Heart Academy in tonight’s game. SHA shot 52.2% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on nine of 18 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 32 points off 26 Waggener turnovers. Waggener shot 33.3% from the field including one of six from beyond the arc. The Lady Wildcats connected on 13 of 26 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 17 SHA turnovers.
Sandy Gahafer led SHA with 12 points on six of eight from the field. Jazmin Smith added 10 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and four blocked shots. Raven Merriweather recorded 10 points, six rebounds, six assists, five blocked shots, and five steals. Jade Tubb chipped in with nine points.
Jada Jackson led Waggener with 14 points. Stephanie Wooldridge added 13 points. Jazmine Richardson-Huston chipped in with six points and seven rebounds.
