Woodford County coach Scott Hundley started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. David Greenwell, 6-4 Sr. Addison Hollin, 6-7 Sr. Jay Johnson, 5-10 So. Eli Boggess, and 6-4 Jr. Landen Young. George Rogers Clark coach Scott Humphrey countered with 6-2 Sr. Charlie Rogers, 6-0 Sr. Taylor Howard, 6-6 Sr. Adam Fatkin, 5-11 Sr. Dominic VanCleve, and 6-1 Sr. Bopper Stenzel.
Woodford County captured a 53-49 decision over George Rogers Clark to notch an impressive road win over a good Cardinal team. Woodford County shot 45.5% from the field including two of eight from the three point line. The Yellow Jackets connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored four points off seven GRC turnovers. GRC shot 38.3% from the field including six of 16 from beyond the arc. The Cardinals connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored nine points off 10 Woodford County turnovers.
David Greenwell led Woodford county with 19 points and seven rebounds. Jay Johnson added 12 points, five rebounds, six assists and three steals. Addison Hollin also recorded 12 points and five rebounds. Hollin was five of five from the field and two of two from the free throw line. Landen Young chipped in with six points and eight rebounds.
Bopper Stenzel led George Rogers Clark with 23 points including three three point baskets. Adam Fatkin and Taylor Howard added eight points each. Charlie Rogers chipped in with five points and nine rebounds.
