Sayre coach Scotty Sutton started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Maddie Mitchell, 5-7 So. Grace Rahman, 6-3 Fr. Gabby Bowie, 5-5 Sr. Sophie O’Rourke, and 5-7 Sr. Emily Culbertson.  Bourbon County coach Juan Byars countered with 5-7 Fr. Asia Sims, 5-7 Sr. Hannah Stout, 5-6 So. Angelica Garza, 5-7 8^th grader Anovia Byars, and 5-6 Jr. Alejandra Garza.

Sayre utilized their size inside to outscore Bourbon County 36-18 in the paint in a 51-42 victory.  Sayre shot 50% from the field including two of two from the three point line.  The Lady Spartans connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored eight points off 12 Bourbon County turnovers.  Bourbon County shot 31.4% from the field including four of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Colonels connected on only six of 17 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 21 Sayre turnovers.

Gabby Bowie led Sayre with 22 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Bowie was nine of 16 from the field and four of five from the free throw line.  Grace Rahman added 10 points and five rebounds.  Sophie O’Rourke chipped in with eight points and four assists.  Maddie Mitchell recorded six points and nine rebounds.  Emily Culbertson added five points, four rebounds, and six assists.

Asia Sims led Bourbon County with 23 points including two three point baskets and seven steals.  5-6 Jr. Olivia Sparks, Anovia Byars, and Hannah Stout added six, five, and five points respectively.
