Franklin County coach Scott Chalk started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Eric Meyer, 6-3 Jr. Logan Woodside, 6-3 So. Chris Roberts, 5-10 Jr. Casey Tabor, and 5-11 Jr. Ryan Timmons. Bryan Station coach Mike Allen countered with 6-2 Sr. Marcus Williams, 6-2 So. Daquice Allen, 6-2 Sr. Omari Sweat, 5-11 Jr. Tyler Smith, and 6-1 Sr. Jaylen Beckham.
Bryan Station defeated Franklin County tonight by a score of 85-74. Bryan Station raced out to a 26-10 lead early in the second quarter but Franklin County rallied and only trailed by two; 35-33 at halftime. Bryan Station outscored Franklin County 25-16 in the third quarter to regain control of the game. Bryan Station shot 47.5% from the field including six of 13 from the three point line. The Defenders connected on 23 of 33 free throws, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Franklin County turnovers. Bryan Station held a 20-6 advantage in second effort points. Franklin County shot 37.7% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc. The Flyers connected on 19 of 23 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 26 Bryan Station turnovers.
Jaylen Beckham led Bryan Station with 29 points; 26 coming in the second half. Beckham was 11 of 14 free throws and pulled down six rebounds. Omari Sweat added 10 points and six rebounds. Marcus Williams and Kalahari Harris chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds each. 6-2 Jr. Kenyon Hipps also recorded nine points.
Ryan Timmons led Franklin County with 22 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. Logan Woodside added 16 points. Eric Meyer chipped in with 12 points including three three point baskets. Casey Tabor also recorded 12 points.
