Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-6 Sr. Patrick Keller, 6-5 Sr. Craig Floyd, 6-9 Jr. Jack Whitman, 5-10 Jr. Dillon Avare, and 5-10 Sr. Bryan Woomer. Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-5 Sr. Tamron Manning 6-3 Sr. Isaiah Ivey, 6-4 Sr. Josh Harris, 6-0 Jr. Quin Richardson, and 6-1 So. Trenton Gilbert.
Scott County defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 70-61. Scott County scored 26 points off 21 Lexington Catholic turnovers while Scott County only had six turnovers which did not result in any points for Lexington Catholic. Scott County shot 42.4% from the field including seven of 18 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and attempted 18 more shots (59-41) from the field than Lexington Catholic. Lexington Catholic shot 43.9% from the field including eight of 21 from beyond the arc. The Knights connected on 17 of 23 free throws and pulled down 37 rebounds.
Trenton Gilbert led Scott County with 22 points including six three point baskets. Isaiah Ivey added 16 points and five rebounds. Josh Harris chipped in with 12 points and seven rebounds. Tamron Manning recorded 12 points, five rebounds, five assists, and five steals.
Jack Whitman led Lexington Catholic with 23 points, 15 rebounds, and two blocked shots. Whitman was eight of nine from the field and seven of nine from the free throw line. Patrick Keller added 13 points and five rebounds. Craig Floyd chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets. Bryan Woomer dished out seven assists.
