Holy Cross coach Kes Murphy started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Jayden Julian, 5-10 Jr. Deasia Beal, 6-2 Fr. Ally Mayhaus, 5-6 Jr. Hannah Tupman, and 5-5 8th grader Dajah McClendon. Lexington Catholic coach Chelsea Chowning countered with 6-0 Sr. Alex Botkin, 6-0 Sr. Emily Johns, 6-0 Sr. Elizabeth Walton, 5-8 Sr. Bonnie Rhule, and 5-9 Jr. Octavia Wilson.
Lexington Catholic scored 32 points off 25 Holy Cross turnovers in a 62-41 victory. Lexington Catholic shot 40.4% from the field including four of 17 from the three point line. The Lady Knights connected on 20 of 28 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and held an 11-4 advantage in bench scoring. Holy Cross shot 34.8% from the field including one of seven from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored six points off 10 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Alex Botkin led Lexington Catholic with 22 points and seven rebounds. Octavia Wilson added 12 points including two three point baskets, six assists, and seven steals. Emily Johns chipped in with 10 points.
Jayden Julian led Holy Cross with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Ally Mayhaus added 12 points, eight rebounds, three blocked shots, and four steals.
