Western Hills coach Steve Wooldridge started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Logan Curry, 6-1 Sr. Ryan Barrass, 6-5 Sr. Grant Hughes, 5-11 Jr. Kevin Booth, and 5-10 Sr. Jordan Kendall. Lexington Christian Academy coach Tommy Huston countered with 6-2 Sr. Travis Branham, 6-2 Sr. Taylor Barnette, 6-5 Sr. John Martin, 6-0 Sr. Jerry Asberry, and 6-0 Sr. Jon Hale.
6-1 Sr. Patrick Nickodem hit a basket with three seconds left on the clock in overtime to give Lexington Christian Academy a 67-65 overtime victory over Western Hills. There were 10 lead changes and 11 ties in this game. LCA shot 42.1% from the field including four of 23 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 19 Western Hills turnovers. LCA attempted 15 more shots (57-42) from the field than Western Hills. Western Hills shot 52.4% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc. The Wolverines connected on 16 of 28 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 LCA turnovers.
Patrick Nickodem led LCA with 18 points. 5-8 Jr. Tyler Harville added 12 points including two three point baskets.
Injured LCA star Taylor Barnette made a 20 second cameo appearance on senior night.
Ryan Barrass led Western Hills with 25 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Logan Curry added 12 points and 13 rebounds. Kevin Booth also scored 12 points.
