Sayre coach Ted Hall started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Philip O’Rourke, 6-1 Sr. Reid Freeman, 6-6 Jr. Ray Brewer, 6-0 So. Justin Sanders, and 6-0 Jr. Duncan Courtney.  Western Hills coach Steve Wooldridge countered with 6-5 Sr. Logan Curry, 6-1 Sr. Ryan Barrass, 6-5 Sr. Grant Hughes, 5-10 Sr. Jordan Kendall, and 6-0 Sr. David Goodman.

Sayre led 34-31 after three quarters but Western Hills rallied for a 49-46 victory over the Spartans.  Western Hills shot 42.1% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line.  The Wolverines connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 12 Sayre turnovers.  Sayre shot 38.9% from the field including five of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Spartans connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 10 points off eight Western Hills turnovers.

Ryan Barrass led Western Hills with 26 points.  Barrass was nine of 14 from the field including one of three from the three point line and seven of 12 from the free throw line. 

Ray Brewer led Sayre with 17 points and eight rebounds.  Reid Freeman added 17 points including three three point baskets.
