Cordia coach Rodrick Rhodes started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. A.J. Tagaloa, 5-11 Fr. A.J. Chisolm, 6-3 Sr. Dondre Warren, 5-10 Sr. Zack Owens, and 5-10 So. Justin Cornett. Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Sr. Tom Banahan, 6-5 So. Tanner Johnson, 6-9 Sr. Jack Whitman, 5-11 Sr. Dillon Avare, and 6-2 So. Jarrod Griffin.
Lexington Catholic scored 43 points off 27 Cordia turnovers in an 80-45 victory over Cordia. Lexington Catholic shot 60.9% from the field including 10 of 20 from the three point line. The Knights connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and held a 28-17 advantage in bench scoring. Cordia shot 37.8% from the field including five of 20 from beyond the arc. The Lions connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 20 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Dillon Avare led Lexington Catholic with 15 points including four three point baskets. Tanner Johnson added 13 points including two three point baskets. Jack Whitman chipped in with 11 points. 5-9 So. Michael Talbott recorded eight points, two rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Jarrod Griffin added eight points, four rebounds, five assists, and four steals.
A.J. Tagaloa led Cordia with 12 points. 5-10 Sr. Marcus Nowell added 11 points including three three point baskets.
