Highlands coach Jaime Richey started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Jesse Daley, 5-6 Sr. Ava Abner, 6-2 Sr. Leah Schaefer, 5-6 Fr. Brianna Adler, and 5-6 Fr. Haley Coffey.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-7 Sr. Kristin Matula, 5-6 Jr. Raven Merriweather, 5-9 Jr. DaiJia Ruffin, 5-3 So. Ashley Johnson, and 5-5 Jr. Vanessa Baisas.

Sacred Heart raced out to a 19-2 first quarter lead on their way to a 64-54 victory over Highlands.  Sacred Heart scored 27 points off 28 Highlands turnovers and recorded 17 steals.  Sacred Heart shot 41.4% from the field including five of 21 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 11 of 22 free throws and pulled down 38 rebounds.  Highlands shot 40.5% from the field including six of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Bluebirds connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 17 Sacred Heart turnovers.

DaiJia Ruffin led Sacred Heart with 23 points, 16 rebounds, and five assists.  Ruffin was nine of 12 from the field and five of seven from the free throw line.  Ashley Johnson added 10 points and six steals.  Kristin Matula and 5-7 Sr. Julia Stough each scored nine points with Stough connecting on three three point baskets.  Raven Merriweather recorded eight points and 11 rebounds.

Brianna Adler led Highlands with 11 points.  Haley Coffey added 10 points.  Leah Schaefer recorded nine points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.
