DeSales  vs.  Lexington Catholic (Boys)

DeSales coach John Mingus started the following lineup: 6-1 So. Chase Shellman, 6-2 So. Willie Schurfranz, 6-0 Jr. Matt Bouchard, 5-8 Jr. Matt Schulman, and 6-2 Jr. Nathan Roush.  Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 So. Tanner Johnson, 6-9 Sr. Jack Whitman, 6-6 Sr. Tom Banahan, 5-11 Sr. Dillon Avare, and 6-2 So. Jarod Griffin.

Lexington Catholic led 61-23 early in the final quarter on their way to a 67-47 victory over DeSales.  Lexington Catholic shot 46.3% from the field including seven of 19 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 10 of 19 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 14 DeSales turnovers.  DeSales shot 36.4% from the field including six of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Colts connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Jack Whitman led Lexington Catholic with 16 points.  Tanner Johnson added 11 points.  Tom Banahan recorded eight points and 10 rebounds.

Chase Shellman led DeSales with 13 points and five rebounds.  Matt Bouchard added 10 points and seven rebounds.
