The Lady Admirals turned up the pressure on defense tonight in a 67-57 victory over Mercer County.  Danville got out to a fast start due in part to Mercer County’s foul woes but a courageous Mercer County team scrapped back and took a 32-28 halftime lead.  However Danville took advantage of Mercer County miscues in the third quarter to take a 48-43 lead entering the final period.  Danville closed out the game with a 19-14 advantage in the final quarter to earn the 67-57 decision.  Danville shot 42% from the field, connected on 22 of 33 free throws and pulled down 36 rebounds.  Mercer County shot 37% from the field, connected on nine of 20 free throws and pulled down 33 rebounds.

5-10 Sr. Kasey Young led Danville with 24 points.  5-5 Jr. Essence Grey added 13 points and 5-10 Sr. Jordan Leavell chipped in with nine points.

5-6 Sr. Cassidy Martin led Mercer County with 24 points.  5-4 So. Catheryne Claunch and 5-5 So. Heidi Huffman each recorded eight points.
