Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-9 Sr. Jack Whitman, 6-5 So. Tanner Johnson, 6-5 Sr. Tom Banahan, 5-11 Sr. Dillon Avare, and 6-2 So. Jarod Griffin.  Lexington Christian Academy coach Brad Carter countered with 6-5 So. Matt Rose, 6-5 Jr. Michael Young, 6-4 Sr. Jon Lannertone, 5-10 Sr. Tyler Harville, and 6-2 Sr. Taylor Blair.

Tanner Johnson recorded a steal and a field goal with nine seconds remaining on the clock to give Lexington Catholic a 55-53 victory over Lexington Christian Academy.  LCA had a last second opportunity at the free throw line but could not capitalize.  The score was tied four times with 10 lead changes.  Lexington Catholic shot 44.2% from the field including four of 16 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 11 points off nine LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 40.7% from the field including nine of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected missed all five free throw attempts, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 14 points off nine Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Jack Whitman led Lexington Catholic with 27 points and six rebounds.  Jarod Griffin added nine points on three three point baskets.  Tanner Johnson recorded eight points and 10 rebounds.

Tyler Harville led LCA with 24 points on eight three point baskets.  Harville was eight of 17 from the field including eight of 11 from beyond the arc.  Matt Rose added 12 points and six rebounds.  Jon Lannertone also scored 12 points and pulled down five rebounds.  Michael Young pulled down eight rebounds.
