Tates Creek coach Tina Winn started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Dominique Etling-Turner, 5-6 So. Haley Blackburn, 5-9 Sr. Katie Pippen, 5-5 Sr. Lexi Whaley, and 5-6 Sr. Oney Harrison. Conner coach Aaron Stamm countered with 5-10 Sr. Jordan Scott, 5-6 Fr. Hunter Hendricks, 6-2 Jr. Maddie Meyers, 5-6 Jr. Brooke Maines, and 5-6 Sr. Emily Pluto.
Conner led 16-9 after the first quarter in a 73-59 victory over Tates Creek. Conner shot 45.6% from the field including eight of 21 from the three point line. The Lady Cougars connected on three of 10 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 13 Tates Creek turnovers. Conner held a 24-3 advantage in three point points. Tates Creek shot 26.8% from the field including an anemic 17.2% in the first half. They were only one of 10 from the three point line. The Lady Commodores connected on 20 of 29 free throws, pulled down 53 rebounds, and scored nine points off 15 Conner turnovers. Tates Creek held a 20-3 advantage in free throw points..
Jordan Scott led Conner with 24 points including four three point baskets, 11 rebounds, and five assists. Brooke Maines added 17 points. Hunter Hendricks chipped in with 11 points. Maddie Meyers recorded six points and seven rebounds.
Katie Pippen led Tates Creek with 27 points and eight rebounds. Oney Harrison added 12 points and Dominique Etling-Turner chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds. Lexi Whaley recorded six points, six rebounds, and five assists.
