2012 Republic Bank Holiday Classic (Girls) December 20th Day #2

 

Ashland Blazer 68  Southwestern 57 – Ashland Blazer scored 22 points off 14 Southwestern turnovers in a 68-57 victory.  Ashland Blazer was led tonight by 5-9 So. Alexis Robinson with 21 points including five three point baskets.  5-6 Sr. Kaylyn Gambill added 16 points including three three point baskets.  5-11 So. Haley-Sue Foutch chipped in with 13 points.  5-7 Sr. Sydney Cullop recorded eight points and eight rebounds.  5-9 So. Adison Corder led Southwestern with 28 points including four three point baskets.  6-0 So. Dylana Fothergill added nine points and six rebounds.

 

Bowling Green 59  Simon Kenton 54 – Bowling Green outscored Simon Kenton 12-6 in the final quarter to earn the win.  The score was tied six times with 12 lead changes.  5-9 Sr. Diamond Marshall led Bowling Green with 32 points on 10 of 18 from the field and 12 of 13 from the free throw line.  5-8 So. Keely Vincent added 11 points.  5-5 Jr. Christina Cook led Simon Kenton with 21 points and nine rebounds.  5-2 Jr. Abby Owings added 16 points, five assists, and four steals.  5-10 Jr. Rachel Cox recorded eight points and nine rebounds.

 

Franklin County 59  Monroe County 57 – Brittany Mello nailed a three point basket in the closing seconds to give Franklin County the victory.  5-5 Sr. Brittany Mello led Franklin County with 14 points including four three point baskets.  5-3 Jr. Nannilena White added 11 points, eight assists, and four steals.  5-7 Sr. Raven Timmons also scored 11 points.  5-8 Sr. Madison Clements led Monroe County with 32 points and eight rebounds.  Clements was 12 of 14 from the field including one of two from beyond the arc and seven of seven free throws.  5-7 Sr. Molly Harlin added 11 points.

 

Lexington Catholic 52  Meade County 46 – Lexington Catholic trailed 31-16 early in the third quarter but utilized timely defensive pressure and good second half shooting (50% from the field and 13 of 15 from the free throw line) to score the come-from-behind victory.  5-8 Sr. Octavia Wilson led the victors with 21 points including nine of 10 from the free throw line, seven rebounds, and five assists.  5-8 So. Rachel Blake added 13 points and five rebounds.  5-11 Sr. Maya Luney led Meade County with 17 points and 11 rebounds.  Luney was six of nine from the field and five of seven from the free throw line.5-7 Jr. Raley Johnson added 15 points.
