Atherton coach Thomas Wilson started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Nick Overley, 5-11 Sr. Devin Mayfield, 6-2 Sr. William Stanke, 5-9 Sr. Marcus West, and 5-10 Sr. Josh Floyd.  Bryan Station coach Mike Allen countered with 6-3 Sr. Michael Morton, 6-2 Jr. Daquice Allen, 6-3 Sr. Tyler Smith, 6-0 Jr. Jordan Henry, and 6-1 Jr. Marcellous Washington.

Bryan Station defeated Atherton by a score of 74-68  Bryan station led 64-44 in the final quarter but Atherton outscored Bryan Station 24-10 the rest of the way to close the margin.  Bryan Station shot 50.8% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line.  The Defenders connected on 11 of 13 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 13 Atherton turnovers.  Atherton shot 38.8% from the field including 10 of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Rebels connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 18 Bryan Station turnovers.

Jordan Henry led Bryan Station with 21 points.  Henry was eight of 10 from the field and five of five from the free throw line.  6-2 Sr. Kenyon Hipps and Marcellous Washington added 12 and 11 points respectively.  Tyler Smith chipped in with nine points and Larry Morton recorded eight points and seven rebounds.

Marcus West led Atherton with 20 points including six three point baskets.  Josh Floyd added 16 points.  Devin Mayfield chipped in with 13 points, six rebounds, and nine assists.  5-8 So. Antonio Short added 11 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds.  William Stanke recorded eight points and 10 rebounds.

Atherton (68) – Overley 0, Mayfield 13, Stanke 8, West 20, Floyd 16, Short 11.

 

Bryan Station (74) – Morton 8, Allen 0, Smith 9, Henry 21, Washington 11, Hipps 12, Walker 5, Hunter 4, Barnes 2, Owsley 2.
