Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-6 Jr. Trey Grundy, 6-4 Jr. Jordan Green, 6-4 Sr. Gerrard Newby, 6-0 Jr. Teddy Ware, and 6-1 Jr. Christen Cunningham.  Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-3 Jr. Tony Martini, 6-2 Sr. Jalen Haddix, 6-7 Sr. Andrew Short, 6-0 Sr. Quin Richardson, and 6-2 Jr. Trent Gilbert.

6-0 Jr. Seth Crank nailed a three point basket in the final second of regulation to give Scott County a 79-79 tie and force overtime.  Crank then hit a pair of free throws in overtime to ensure Scott County’s 89-86 victory over Henry Clay.  There were 16 lead changes and 10 ties in this game.  Scott County shot 46.5% from the field including eight of 19 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 15 of 17 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 16 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 55.8% from the field including two of three from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on 26 of 36 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 10 points off six Scott County turnovers.

Quin Richardson led Scott county with 24 points including three three point baskets and dished out assists.  Trent Gilbert added 20 points including four three point baskets.  Jalen Haddix recorded 18 points and six rebounds.

Christen Cunningham led Henry clay with 23 points and seven assists.  Jordan Green added 21 points and nine rebounds.  Gerrard Newby chipped in with 16 points and five rebounds.  Trey Grundy recorded 15 points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots.
