Tates Creek coach Tina Winn started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Dominique Etling-Turner, 5-6 So. Haley Blackburn, 5-9 Sr. Katie Pippen, 5-5 Sr. Lexi Whaley, and 5-6 Sr. Oney Harrison. Lexington Christian Academy countered with 6-0 So. Savannah Compton, 5-7 Sr. Kristen Rinehart, 6-1 Jr. Holly Huellemier, 5-4 8th grade Cara Burdette, and 5-7 Jr. Katelyn Bundy.
Tates Creek took a 19-9 first quarter lead and increased their advantage to 34-12 at halftime on their way to a 52-41 victory over Lexington Christian Academy. Tates Creek shot 38.3% from the field including two of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Commodores connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 17 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 27.8% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on nine of 19 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 14 Tates Creek turnovers.
Katie Pippen led Tates Creek with 20 points and seven rebounds. Oney Harrison added 17 points. Harrison was seven of 11 from the field including two of four from beyond the arc and one of two from the free throw line.
Katelyn Bundy led LCA with 22 points. Savannah Compton added seven points and 16 rebounds.
