Bryan Station coach Mike Allen started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Larry Morton, 6-2 Jr. Daquice Allen, 6-3 Sr. Tyler Smith, 6-0 Jr. Jordan Henry, and 6-1 Jr. Marcellous Washington. Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III countered with 6-8 Sr. Nick Trisko, 6-4 Sr. Aaron Evans, 6-9 Jr. Jackson Davis, 6-2 Jr. Lance Blakely, and 6-3 Sr. Tranard Chester.
Bryan Station trailed 47-42 after three quarters but rallied for a 65-62 victory over Lafayette. Turnovers were Lafayette’s downfall tonight as Bryan Station scored 32 points off 26 Lafayette turnovers. Bryan Station shot 33.8% from the field including six of 21 from the three point line. The Defenders connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and attempted 23 more shots (68-45) from the field than Lafayette. Lafayette shot 53.3% from the field including two of 10 from beyond the arc. The Generals connected on 12 of 22 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored six points off 10 Bryan Station turnovers.
Larry Morton led Bryan Station with 23 points including four three points baskets and seven rebounds. Jordan Henry added 13 points and 11 rebounds. 6-2 Sr. Kenyon Hipps chipped in with 10 points. Tyler Smith recorded seven points and seven rebounds.
Jackson Davis led Lafayette with 17 points. 6-6 Sr. Charles Sweat-Washington added 13 points. Nick Trisko chipped in with nine points and 11 rebounds.
