Sacred Heart coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Dai Jia Ruffin, 5-7 Sr. Kristin Matula, 5-10 Sr. Caroline Long, 5-3 So. Ashley Johnson, and 5-3 So. Gretchen Samsel. Presentation coach David Jackson countered with 5-5 Sr. Meredith Degner, 5-5 Sr. Peyton Andres, 5-9 So. Alex Hibbs, 5-3 So. Tracey Lindsey, and 5-7 Jr. Aliyah Johnson.
Sacred Heart scored 36 points off 32 Presentation turnovers in a 66-36 victory. Sacred Heart shot 59.2% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on four of 10 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and held a 23-11 advantage in bench scoring. Presentation shot 35.3% from the field including two of six from beyond the arc. The Toppers connected on 10 of 21 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 25 Sacred Heart turnovers.
Ashley Johnson led Sacred Heart with 12 points, four assists, and six steals. Gretchen Samsel added 12 points and four steals. Dai Jia Ruffin recorded seven points, six rebounds, five assists, and four steals.
Alex Hibbs led Presentation with nine points, eight rebounds, and three steals. Peyton Andres and Tracey Lindsey each recorded six points.
