St. Joseph (MO) coach Julie Groessling-Matheny started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Erin Nelson, 5-11 Sr. Susie Schmank, 6-3 Sr. Sydney Stipanovich, 5-6 Sr. Emmie Haring, and 5-5 So. Mary Barton.  Mercy Academy coach Mark Evans countered with 5-10 Sr. Morgan Doherty, 5-9 Sr. Victoria Dircksen, 6-0 So. Malerie Martin, 5-7 Sr. Kayla Richardson, and 5-8 Sr. Whitney Hartlage.

St. Joseph (MO) defeated Mercy Academy by a score of 57-44.  St. Joseph shot 46.6% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The Angels connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 17 Mercy turnovers.  Mercy shot 21.8% from the field including eight of 30 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored four points off 23 St. Joseph turnovers.

Erin Nelson led St. Joseph with 17 points and six rebounds.  Mary Barton added 15 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and five steals.  Sydney Stipanovich recorded 14 points, 13 rebounds, and six blocked shots.

Kayla Richardson led Mercy with 13 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, and three assists.  Whitney Hartlage recorded 13 points including four three point baskets, five re bounds, and five steals.
