Assumption coach Steve Small started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Katie Friedrich, 5-8 Sr. Kelsey Kaiser, 6-6 So. Nora Kiesler, 5-4 Sr. Brandy Hunter, and 5-7 Sr. Dee Dee Sliter.  Mercy Academy coach Mark Evans countered with 5-10 Sr. Morgan Doherty, 5-4 Sr. Mackenzie Stilger, 6-0 So. Malerie Martin, 5-7 Sr. Kayla Richardson, and 5-8 Sr. Whitney Hartlage.

Assumption dominated in the paint and Mercy was cold from the field and free throw line as Assumption earned a 56-41 road victory.  Assumption shot 34.6% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line.  The Rockets connected on 18 of 31 free throws, pulled down 64 rebounds, and scored two points off nine Mercy turnovers.  Assumption also held an 18-7 advantage in second chance points.  Mercy shot 18.4% from the field including four of 31 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 13 of 31 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored three points off 23 Assumption turnovers.

Nora Kiesler led Assumption with 12 points, 19 rebounds, and nine blocked shots.  Kelsey Kaiser added 11 points and 11 rebounds.  Katie Friedrich recorded nine points and 11 rebounds.

Whitney Hartlage led Mercy with 15 points and eight rebounds.  Kayla Richardson and Malerie Martin added nine and eight points respectively.
