Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III started the following lineup: 6-9 Jr. Jackson Davis, 6-8 Sr. Nick Trisko, 6-6 So. Shon Wright, 6-2 Jr. Lance Blakely, and 6-4 Sr. Aaron Evans. Lexington Christian Academy coach Brad Carter countered with 6-5 So. Matt Rose, 6-2 Sr. Taylor Blair, 6-4 Sr. Jon Lannertone, 5-9 So. Drew Schacht, and 5-10 Sr. Tyler Harville.
Lafayette utilized their size advantage to outscore LCA 42-18 in the paint on their way to a 68-51 victory. Lafayette shot 46.4% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line. The Generals connected on 12 of 27 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 22 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 37.5% from the field including seven of 19 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 20 Lafayette turnovers.
Jackson Davis led Lafayette with 21 points, 15 rebounds, and four steals. Nick Trisko added 12 points including two three point baskets. 6-6 Sr. Charles Sweat-Washington recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, and three steals.
Taylor Blair led LCA with 11 points. Jon Lannertone added 10 points and six rebounds. Tyler Harville also scored 10 points. Matt Rose recorded nine points and five rebounds.
