West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Tanner Richards, 6-2 Sr. Robby Irgang, 6-4 Sr. Chase Fain, 6-0 Jr. Will Henderson, and 6-3 Jr. Daulton Peters. Mercer County coach Brian Britt countered with 6-2 Fr. Will Hager, 5-11 Jr. Russell Sims, 6-2 Sr. Jordan Duncan, 5-10 Sr. John Ingram, and 5-11 Sr. Blake Pennington.
West Jessamine defeated Mercer County by a score of 82-69. West Jessamine shot 53.7% from the field including 11 of 16 from the three point line. The Colts connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 14 Mercer County turnovers. Mercer County shot 44.1% from the field including six of 24 from beyond the arc. The Titans connected on 11 of 22 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored nine points off eight West Jessamine turnovers.
Chase Fain led West Jessamine with 28 points including six three point baskets, 11 rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Will Henderson added 21 points and five assists. Daulton Peters recorded 18 points including three three point baskets.
John Ingram led Mercer County with 19 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Jordan Duncan added 13 points and eight rebounds. Blake Pennington chipped in with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Russell Sims also scored 10 points.
