Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Quan Taylor, 6-1 Sr. Daniel Parke, 6-3 Sr. Hunter Stocker, 6-1 Sr. Ken-Jah Bosley, and 6-1 Sr. Dominique Hawkins. South Charleston (WV) coach Robert Dawson countered with 6-0 So. A.D. Cunningham, 6-2 Sr. Hunter Moles, 6-2 Sr. Trevond Reese, 5-8 Sr. Rashuad Kincaid, and 5-9 Sr. Davon Harris.
Madison Central trailed 33-27 at halftime but rallied to defeat South Charleston by a score of 73-62. The score was tied three times and there were 10 lead changes in the game. Madison Central shot 63.6% from the field including 84.2% in the second half and connected on eight of 17 from the free throw line. The Indians connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 14 points off seven South Charleston turnovers. South Charleston shot 47.4% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc. The Black Eagles connected on five of 12 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven Madison Central turnovers.
Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central with 26 points. Hawkins was 11 of 15 from the field including two of three from the three point line, and two of two from the free throw line. Ken-Jah Bosley added 22 points including four three point baskets. Bosley was seven of nine from the field including four of six from the three point line, and four of five from the free throw line. Quan Taylor chipped in with 11 points and six rebounds. Daniel Parke recorded six points and five assists.
A.D. Cunningham led South Charleston with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Rashuad Kincaid and Hunter Moles added 12 and 10 points respectively.
