Waggener coach Maurice Ponder started the following lineup: 5-6 Jr. Jada Jackson, 5-7 So. Zhone Montgomery, 6-2 So. Alexandria Peden, 5-6 So. Stephanie Woolridge, and 5-5 Sr. Destiny Lamb.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-9 Jr. Dai Jia Ruffin, 5-7 Sr. Kristin Matula, 5-10 Sr. Caroline Long, 5-5 Jr. Vanessa Baisas, and 5-7 Sr. Julia Stough.

Sacred Heart defeated Waggener by a score of 73-63.  Sacred Heart shot 50% from the field including six of 18 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on nine of 14 from the3 free throw line, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 19 Waggener turnovers.  Waggener shot 37% from the field including zero of one from beyond the arc.  The Lady Wildcats connected on 23 of 29 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 20 Sacred Heart turnovers.

Vanessa Baisas led Sacred Heart with 18 points including four three point baskets.  Dai Jia Ruffin added 16 points, 12 rebounds, and two steals.  Kristin Matula chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds.  Caroline Long recorded eight points and seven rebounds.

Jada Jackson led Waggener with 21 points, five rebounds, and three steals.  Alexandria Peden added 15 points and 10 rebounds.  Stephanie Woolridge chipped in with 11 points and four steals.
