Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford started the following lineup: 5-9 So. Kerrigan Davis, 5-6 So. Jazmine Richmond, 5-9 Jr. Areanna Porter, 5-6 Fr. T’laya Lyvers, and 5-6 So. Destiny Carter. Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 6-2 Sr. Ashton Feldhaus, 5-9 Sr. Heather Hinkle, 6-2 Jr. Shadae Bosley, 5-5 Jr. Bailey O’Bryan, and 5-5 Sr. Larryn Brooks.
Madison Central trailed 20-19 at halftime but rallied for a 50-42 victory over Henry Clay. Madison Central shot 41.7% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on 17 of 24 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 17 Henry Clay turnovers. Henry Clay shot 37.8% from the field including one of nine from beyond the arc. The Lady Devils connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Madison Central turnovers.
Larryn Brooks led Madison Central with 18 points, five rebounds, four assists, and five steals. Shadae Bosley added 12 points, five rebounds, and three blocked shots. Ashton Feldhaus recorded 11 points and nine rebounds. Bailey O’Bryan chipped in with nine points and three steals.
Destiny Carter led Henry Clay with 17 points. Areanna Porter added 12 points and 10 rebounds. T’laya Lyvers recorded nine points, five rebounds, and four steals.
