Tates Creek coach Tina Winn started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Dominique Etling-Turner, 5-9 Sr. Katie Pippen, 5-11 So. Kendra Evans, 5-4 So. Brady Lang, and 5-5 Sr. Lexi Whaley. Madison Southern coach Summer Simmons countered with 5-10 So. Rachel Ramey, 5-9 Fr. Briana Lanham, 5-10 Sr. Sarah Smith, 5-6 So. Samantha Parms, and 5-4 So. Kelley Freeman.
Tates Creek defeated Madison Southern by a score of 74-53. Tates Creek shot 50.8% from the field including two of five from the three point line. The Lady Commodores connected on 10 of 10 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 22 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 36.5% from the field including six of 21 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on nine of 21 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 15 Tates Creek turnovers.
Katie Pippen led Tates Creek with 31 points and four blocked shots. Pippen was 13 of 19 from the field including one of one from beyond the arc, and four of four free throws. Dominique Etling-Turner added 20 points, six assists, and six steals. Lexi Whaley recorded 11 points, three rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Briana Lanham led Madison Southern with 14 points and nine rebounds. Rachel Ramey added 13 points and four assists. Kelley Freeman recorded 12 points and five rebounds.
