Lexington Catholic coach Scott True started the following lineup: 5-8 So. Rachel Blake, 5-8 Sr. Octavia Wilson, 5-9 So. Caroline Lynch, 5-4 Sr. Sara Cawood, and 5-4 So. Bailey Browning.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 6-0 Jr. Sarah Cooley, 5-11 So. Dee Givens, 6-4 So. Ashanti Thomas, 5-6 Jr. Megumi Nagahiro, and 5-6 Jr. Ken’yale Demus.

Lafayette defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 56-41.  Lafayette shot 33.3% from the field including five of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 15 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 28.6% from the field including five of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on eight of eight free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven Lafayette turnovers.

Dee Givens led Lafayette with 20 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, and four steals.  Ken’yale Demus added nine points.  Ashanti Thomas recorded eight points, 11 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Sarah Cooley chipped in with eight points and 11 rebounds.

Octavia Wilson led Lexington Catholic with 14 points and five rebounds.  Rachel Blake added six points and eight rebounds.  Bailey Browning also scored six points on two three point baskets.
