Woodford County coach Jay Lucas started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Hannah Morgan, 5-9 So. Chelsey Ford, 6-1 Sr. Jessica Morgan, 5-5 So. Anastayzia Reed, and 5-5 Jr. Shelby McDonald. Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 6-2 Sr. Ashton Feldhaus, 5-9 Sr. Heather Hinkle, 6-2 Jr. Shadae Bosley, 5-5 Jr. Bailey O’Bryan, and 5-5 Sr. Larryn Brooks.
Madison Central defeated Woodford County by a score of 61-43. There were seven lead changes and five ties in this game. Madison Central shot 40% from the field including eight of 15 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored seven points off 10 Woodford County turnovers. Woodford County shot 31.4% from the field including five of 17 from beyond the arc. The Yellow Jackets connected on six of 13 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored seven points off 10 Madison Central turnovers.
Larryn Brooks led Madison Central with 23 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Ashton Feldhaus added 16 points including three three point baskets and 11 rebounds. Bailey O’Bryan chipped in with 11 points and eight rebounds.
Chelsey Ford led Woodford County with 18 points including four three point baskets and five rebounds. Jessica Morgan added eight points and six rebounds.
