Woodford County coach Scott Hundley started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Jalen Raglin, 5-11 Jr. Eli Boggess, 6-5 Sr. Chase Henderlight, 5-7 Sr. Thomas Hickman, and 5-7 Sr. George Cole. West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley countered with 6-2 Sr. Robby Irgang, 6-3 So. Rashawn Jackson, 6-4 Sr. Chase Fain, 6-0 Jr. Will Henderson, and 6-3 Jr. Daulton Peters.
Woodford County led 44-42 after three quarters but West Jessamine rallied in the final quarter to earn a 66-62 victory in a hard fought game. There were 13 lead changes and seven ties in this contest. West Jessamine shot 45.1% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line. The Colts connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored six points off nine Woodford County turnovers. Woodford County shot 44.2% from the field including eight of 18 from beyond the arc. The Yellow Jackets connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 West Jessamine turnovers.
Daulton Peters led West Jessamine with 25 points and nine rebounds. Will Henderson added 16 points. Rashawn Jackson chipped in with 12 points and Robby Irgang recorded 10 points and eight rebounds.
5-10 Sr. Kyle Howell led Woodford County with 20 points including three three point baskets. Chase Henderlight and Eli Boggess added 11 points each. George Cole recorded nine points on three three point baskets. 6-3 Sr. Curtis Ham pulled down seven rebounds.
