Sayre coach Ted Hall started the following lineup: 6-3 So. Quinn Pergande, 6-1 Jr. Martin Durmov, 6-6 Sr. Ray Brewer, 5-9 Sr. Ben Davis, and 6-0 Jr. Justin Sanders.  Nicholas County coach Kevin Reinhardt countered with 6-1 Jr. Logan Fryman, 5-11 Sr. Austin Allison, 6-4 Sr. Zack Howard, 5-9 So. Landon Sexton, and 5-9 Sr. Jacob Fryman.

Sayre outscored Nicholas County 21-4 in the second quarter on their way to a 62-46 victory.  Sayre shot 54.3% from the field including two of nine from the three point line.  The Spartans connected on 22 of 36 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 26 Nicholas County turnovers.  Nicholas County shot 31.7% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Jackets connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 24 Sayre turnovers.

Ray Brewer led Sayre with 25 points, nine rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Brewer was six of 11 from the field including zero of one from beyond the arc, and 13 of 19 free throws.  Justin Sanders and Martin Durmov each recorded 12 points.

6-0 So. Ben Duncan led Nicholas County with 18 points.  Zack Howard added nine points and Logan Fryman pulled down seven rebounds.
