Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-6 Jr. Trey Grundy, 6-4 Jr. Jordan Green, 6-5 Sr. Darien Tichenor, 6-0 Jr. Teddy Ware, and 6-1 Jr. Christen Cunningham. Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III countered with 6-6 Sr. Charles Sweat-Washington, 6-8 Sr. Nick Trisko, 6-9 Sr. Jackson Davis, 6-2 Jr. Lance Blakely, and 6-3 Sr. Tranard Chester.
Lafayette defeated Henry Clay by a score of 79-54. Lafayette took an early 18-8 lead and was never threatened tonight. Lafayette shot 47.5% from the field including seven of 12 from the three point line. The Generals connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 Henry Clay turnovers. Henry Clay shot 32.8% from the field including one of 13 from beyond the arc. The Blue Devils connected on 13 of 25 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 20 Lafayette turnovers.
Jackson Davis led Lafayette with 18 points and six rebounds. Davis was seven of eight from the field and four of four from the free throw line. Tranard Chester added 16 points. Charles Sweat-Washington chipped in with 14 points and six rebounds. Nick Trisko recorded 13 points and six rebounds. Lance Blakely added 10 points and six rebounds.
Jordan Green led Henry Clay with 19 points and nine rebounds. Christen Cunningham added 12 points. Darien Tichenor chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.
