Christian Academy of Louisville coach Casey Smallwood started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Chase Darst, 6-1 Sr. Logan Wade, 6-4 Sr. Paul Barry, 5-10 Sr. Ryan Long, and 5-11 Sr. Bradford Fenton.  Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III countered with 6-6 Sr. Charles Sweat-Washington, 6-4 Sr. Aaron Evans, 6-8 Sr. Nick Trisko, 6-2 Jr. Lance Blakely, and 6-3 Sr. Tranard Chester.

Lafayette scored 32 points off 24 CAL turnovers in a 84-65 victory.  Lafayette shot 48.3% from the field including seven of 15 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 19 of 26 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and held a 35-17 advantage in bench points.  CAL shot 43.9% from the field including 10 of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Centurions connected on five of seven free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 19 Lafayette turnovers.

6-9 Jr. Jackson Davis led Lafayette with 28 points, nine rebounds, three blocked shots, and three steals.  Davis was nine of 14 from the field and 10 of 12 from the free throw line.  Tranard Chester added 16 points and five steals.  Aaron Evans chipped in with 11 points and nine rebounds.  Nick Trisko also reached double figures with 10 points.

Logan Wade led CAL with 23 points including six three point baskets.  Chase Darst added 12 points, five rebounds, and three steals.  Bradford Fenton chipped in with nine points.

CAL (65) – Darst 12, Wade 23, Barry 4, Long 0, Fenton 9, Duff 2, Batuello 2, Wells 5, Passafume 8.

 

Lafayette (84) – Sweat-Washington 3, Evans 11, Trisko 10, Blakely 9, Chester 16, Robinson 5, Davis 28, Wright 2.
