Tates Creek coach Wayne Breeden started the following lineup: 6-2 Jr. Ian Davis, 6-1 Sr. Vincent Mattox, 6-5 So. Jordan Fucci, 5-11 So. Desmond Duke, and 5-11 Sr. Landon Love. Lexington Christian Academy coach Brad Carter countered with 6-5 So. Matt Rose, 6-3 So. Benton Nighbert, 6-5 Jr. Michael Young, 5-9 So. Drew Schacht, and 5-10 Sr. Tyler Harville.
Lexington Christian Academy, led by senior guard Tyler Harville made the plays down the stretch to earn a 53-49 decision over Tates Creek. LCA shot 52.9% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on 13 of 15 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored three points off six Tates Creek turnovers. Tates Creek shot 40.4% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc. The Commodores connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 10 points off eight LCA turnovers.
Tyler Harville led LCA with 21 points including four three point baskets. Matt Rose added 12 points and eight rebounds. 6-4 Sr. Jon Lannertone and 6-0 Jr. Cody Kalinowski each recorded eight points.
Vincent Mattox led Tates Creek with 20 points. Desmond Duke added 10 points. Jordan Fucci recorded nine points and nine rebounds.
