Madison Central  vs.  Henry Clay (Boys) (Semifinal)

11th Region Tournament

Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Quan Taylor, 6-1 Sr. Daniel Parke, 6-3 Sr. Hunter Stocker, 6-1 Sr. Ken-Jah Bosley, and 6-1 Sr. Dominique Hawkins.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-6 Jr. Trey Grundy, 6-4 Jr. Jordan Green, 6-5 Sr. Darien Tichenor, 6-1 Jr. Christen Cunningham, and 6-2 So. Jeremiah Tisdale.

Madison Central defeated Henry Clay by a score of 60-56 before a packed McBrayer Arena tonight.  There were 15 lead changes and five ties in this game.  Henry Clay led 56-52 with 3:04 left in the game but Madison Central finished the game on an 8-0 run.  Ken-Jah Bosley gave Madison Central a 57-56 lead with a steal and layup with 50 seconds left in the game.  Madison Central increased the lead to 59-56 and Daniel Parke pulled down a key rebound on a missed three point attempt by Henry Clay with 16 seconds left in the game.

Madison Central shot 39.6% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 11 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 48.9% from the field including six of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on four of 11 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored eight points off six Madison Central turnovers.

Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central with 24 points and five rebounds.  Ken-Jah Bosley added 18 points including two three point baskets.  Quan Taylor chipped in with five points and 10 rebounds.  Daniel Parke continues to make winning plays as he recorded six points on two three point baskets on the only two shots he attempted, four rebounds, and three assists. 

Jordan Green led Henry Clay with 16 points and nine rebounds.  6-0 Jr. Teddy Ware added 12 points on four three point baskets.  Christen Cunningham performed admirably on a sore ankle with eight points, four rebounds, and 10 assists.  Trey Grundy recorded seven points and nine rebounds.
