Hopkinsville coach Tim Haworth started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Jordan Majors, 6-2 So. Jaqualis Matlock, 6-5 Jr. Jamonte Davis, 6-1 Sr. T.J. Elam, and 6-2 So. Tra Edwards.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-1 Jr. Demarcus George, 6-1 Sr. Daniel Parke, 6-4 Sr. Hunter Stocker, 5-11 Sr. Ken-Jah Bosley, and 6-1 Sr. Dominique Hawkins.

Madison Central defeated Hopkinsville 60-56 in a game that was anything but routine.  Madison Central shot a dismal 30.4% from the field but sizzled at the free throw line connecting on 29 of 33 shots.  Hopkinsville led 46-34 with 1:35 left in the third quarter but Madison Central went on an 18-3 run over the next 5:30 minutes to take a 52-49 lead.  The teams then swapped the lead but some key free throws by Dominique Hawkins and a key rebound by Quan Taylor off a Hawkins free throw miss to allow Hawkins to attempt and make the final two free throws to ensure the victory.  There were seven ties in this game and six lead changes.

Madison Central shot 30.4% from the field including three of 16 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 29 of 33 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Hopkinsville turnovers.  Hopkinsville shot 42.2% from the field including three of eight from beyond the arc.  The Tigers connected on 15 of 20 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored nine points off nine Madison Central turnovers.

Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central with 30 points including 17 of 20 free throws and 10 rebounds.  Ken-Jah Bosley added 13 points.  6-4 Sr. Quan Taylor chipped in with eight points, five rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Jordan Majors led Hopkinsville with 31 points including two three point baskets and 13 of 16 from the free throw line and dished out five assists.  Tra Edwards added 11 points and Jaqualis Matlock pulled down 11 rebounds.
