Allen County-Scottsville coach Brad Bonds started the following lineup: 5-11 Jr. Morgan Rich, 5-8 So. Savannah Gregory, 5-7 Sr. Katie Young, 5-7 So. Jordan Brooks, and 5-6 So. Kayla Hudson. South Warren coach Blane Embry countered with 5-8 Jr. Colby Downing, 5-10 So. Timitryi Patterson, 6-0 Jr. Abby Cassidy, 5-5 Sr. KK Burnette, and 5-6 8th grader Amaya Lasley.
Allen County-Scottsville led 27-12 in the first quarter but had to survive a late rally by South Warren to earn a 62-60 victory. South Warren missed a couple of three point attempts late in the game for the victory. Allen County-Scottsville shot 44.4% from the field including four of eight from the three point line. They connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 21 South warren turnovers. South warren shot 37.3% from the field including nine of 22 from beyond the arc. They connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 13 Allen County-Scottsville turnovers.
Morgan Rich led Allen County-Scottsville with 31 points, six rebounds, and four steals. Savannah Gregory added 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and five steals.
Timitryi Patterson led South Warren with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Amaya Lasley added 19 points including three three point baskets. Abby Cassidy recorded 15 points including four three point baskets.
