Danville coach Ed McKinney started the following lineup: 6-0 So. Spencer McKinney, 5-11 Sr. Jawan Grey, 6-3 Jr. Cody Woolridge, 5-8 So. Jakobi Turner, and 5-9 Sr. Katon Emerson. West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley countered with 6-4 Jr. Brooks Ely, 6-3 Sr. Daulton Peters, 6-5 Jr. Dalton Crouse, 5-11 Sr. Landon Adkins, and 6-0 Sr. Will Henderson.
Danville led 28-21 at halftime but West Jessamine outscored the Admirals 25-7 in the third quarter to gain control of the game on their way to a 65-56 victory. West Jessamine shot a sizzling 72,7% in the second half as they outscored Danville 44-28 after the intermission. West Jessamine shot 56.4% from the field including one of six from the three point line. The Colts connected on 20 of 34 free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 26 Danville turnovers. Danville shot 47.7% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc. The Admirals connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 16 West Jessamine turnovers.
Daulton Peters led West Jessamine with 18 points and nine rebounds. Will Henderson added 15 points, four assists, and four steals. Landon Adkins chipped in with 12 points.
Cody Woolridge led Danville with 19 points and five rebounds. Katon Emerson added 14 points, six rebounds, five assists, and four steals.
