Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. DaiJia Ruffin, 5-6 Sr. Raven Merriweather, 5-11 So.Maggie Colley, 5-4 Jr. Ashley Johnson, and 5-4 Jr. Gretchen Samsel. St. Ursula Academy countered with Sr. Elizabeth Ayers, So. Madeline Morrissey, Hannah Portmann, Jr. Karlee Proctor, and Sr. Emma Noe.
Sacred Heart Academy defeated St. Ursula Academy by a score of 65-39. Sacred Heart shot 47.8% from the field including three of four from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on 18 of 21 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 24 St. Ursula Academy turnovers. St. Ursula Academy shot 23.6% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc. They connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 22 Sacred Heart turnovers.
DaiJia Ruffin led Sacred Heart with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Ashley Johnson added 11 points and four steals. Gretchen Samsel and 5-6 Jr. Meghan Randal chipped in with nine points each. Maggie Colley recorded six points and eight rebounds.
Madeline Morrissey led St. Ursula Academy with 11 points. Sara Friedmann added eight points. Elizabeth Ayers recorded three points and 11 rebounds.
