Clay County led 46-43 after three quarters but Paul Laurence Dunbar rallied to outscore the Lady Tigers 15-6 in the final quarter to earn a 58-52 victory. Dunbar held a 27-0 advantage in three point points. Dunbar shot 38% from 2-point range and connected on nine of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Bulldogs connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and committed 15 turnovers. Clay County shot 56% from 2-point range and was zero of eight from beyond the arc. The Lady Tigers connected on eight of 17 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and committed 13 turnovers.
5-4 Sr. Shakeema Jackson and 5-4 So. Elzhaunaai Ighodaro led Dunbar with 14 points each. 5-5 Jr. Kristina Rosen and 6-2 Sr. Brooke Todd added nine and eight points respectively.
5-10 Sr. Sara Robinson led Clay County with 17 points. 5-5 Sr. Ajaycia Cotton added 15 points and five steals. 6-0 Jr. Courtney Woods chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.
